Lesa Monet has selected a few of her students to be a part of a private viewing at her studio, with one of the largest music goups in the industry.
Rehtaeh, Zoe Poehlman, Eric Millard, Gary Hennrich, DJ Rouse, Stacey Allin, Amy Larkins, Garrett Weaver of "The Weaver Project" and Electric Prairie will be some of the students showcased in this intimate, private viewing.
Some very special friends of Lesa's, Brian Ruskin of "The Ruskin Quartet" www.ruskinquartet.com and Jem Razz of "Razzoo" www.jemrazz.com who are not students but rather 2 of the most talented musicians Kansas City has to offer, will also be showcased during this viewing.
We are very excited and proud to present all of these talents and know that they will be wonderful representation for the music arts in Kansas City.

Student, Rick Davis will be performing with his group "Elvis 11" at the Woodlands this Memorial Day weekend and they will be shown on channel 4, Friday the 25th between 5:30 and 6:15 PM.
We hope you will watch and see yet another one of our "Music with Monet" students excelling in the performance arena.

"RECORDING, RECORDING, RECORDING" That is what's happening in the "Music with Monet" world right now.
Lesa Monet has been writing and recording for some of her students & clients. They will have several new CD projects released by the end of the summer.
Stacey Allin, Lindsay Ferguson, Amy Larkins, Tim Stiles, Jackie Leal and Rick Davis are a few of our students & clients who will be releasing their CD's.
Lesa is also working on her original project and will be releasing her CD around the same time.
We have been busy here at "Music with Monet" and look forward to all of our projects that are in the works, to be completed and released.
We're all just loving the music!!!

Student, Emma Jo will be making her television debut on Fox 4 news, Monday, February 26th at 8:40 AM.
She will be singing one of the cuts from her CD, "If We Don't Have Each Other" which she will also be performing along with many others during her CD release event, Monday, February 26th at The Quality Hill Playhouse.
We are so proud of Emma and we know that she will be another one of our success stories.

We have received word that Von will be a guest on "The View" television show on February 27th. We hope everyone will watch this young Kansas City artist and see how hard work and dedication can lead you down the path to success.

Student- Rick Davis auditions for the new Elvis show for the bass background vocal position and gets it!
Rick will be performing in a new theater located inside the Indian Springs shopping center and will be one of the background vocalists for this exciting new Elvisll show.

Singer, songwriter Emma Jo will be making her radio debut on KKFI 90.1 FM, Sunday February 4th at 10:00am. KKFI's Jeanne Jaspers Donovan will interview Emma Jo and play selections from Emma Jo's new CD, "Waiting to Be Heard." Emma Jo will be performing live cuts from her new CD and from her upcoming CD as well.

We are so happy to see that a well deserving Von Smith has been discovered and made his debut on National television. He executed his rendition of "And I Am Telling You" from DreamGirls and brought the house down on BET.

One of our "Music with Monet" students will be releasing her CD entitled "Waiting To Be Heard" on February 26th in yet another one of "Lesa Monet's" productions. Emma Jo is 16 years old and has been writing her own material for several years. With a passion for music she has dedicated and disciplined herself to and for her craft.
Her vocal style has been compared to Emmy Lou Harris and Jewel by some of those who have heard and seen Emma.
Another one of "Music with Monet" students, Zoe Poehlman, will be opening for Emma at the release. We have some special artists who will also be attending. Brian Ruskin, Jem Razz, Jan Lamb and Bo will be special additions to this CD release and will add a touch of Kansas City to this exciting show.

Lara Ryan has worked very hard and diligent, in order to reach pro-status and begin gigging with her own group, Lara Ryan & The Brickhouse Blues Band.
Beginning Friday January 12th, you can see Lara at Paci's Cafe in North Kansas City.
We encourage everyone to go and see this powerful and energetic vocalist along with her dynamic band, while they deliver some of the best blues tunes music has to offer.
You will be "wowed" while having fun listening and watching this new Kansas City blues group.

2006 delivered some extremely, talented students who are not only performers, but songwriters. With the production services of Steve McBride at SoundGate Studios and Lesa Monet of "Music with Monet" Artist Development & Productions, these Cd's were recorded and have now been released.

Electric Prairie's "Faith & Grit" is a collection of Bluegrass-Gospel tunes, several of which are originals written by Electric Prairie. Consisting of 3 very talented family members, this group has developed their own distinctive and recognizable sound.

The next CD released was Emma Jo's "Waiting To Be Heard" This 15 year old student and songwriter, wrote all of the songs recorded on her CD. She also sang and accompanied herself on guitar. Emma Jo is a dedicated, talented and passionate young artist who delivers her heart through her music and voice.

In 2006 three very talented performers released their CDs of music written by Lesa Monet.

Lindsay Ferguson released her CD "Just Me." On this CD Lindsay performs two of Lesa Monet's songs, "Chasing Rainbows" and "Am I Gonna Make It." Lindsay sings these songs beautifully! In 2007 Lindsay will be releasing a music video for "Am I Gonna Make It" as well as another CD with music written by Lesa Monet.

Eric Millard released his CD "Thinking of You." Eric performs two of Lesa Monet's songs, "The Girl's In Love With Mississippi" and "Maybe I." Eric's performance of these two songs is wonderful! He is so very talented and we look forward to hearing more from Eric.

Tarrah Speer released her CD "Only The Beginning" Tarrah performs three songs written by Lesa Monet, "Wash Away," "Sweet Embrace" and "Empty Inside." A CD release party for Tarrah's "Only The Beginning" was held at The Quality Hill Playhouse in Kansas City. Tarrah did great on the CD and her live performance at the release party.

All Cd's were produced and recorded at our favorite recording studio, SoundGate Studios.
